Rare little three-seater "à la reine" sofa from a children's living room furniture. It was made by Michel CRESSON (1709-1781) Master in Paris in 1740 - Louis XV period. Moulded and finely gilded beechwood. It rests on seven arched legs. The supports of the armrests are set back and whipped. The back, the belt and the sides are undulating and finely carved with flowers, flowers and branches between two mouldings. This piece of furniture has kept its original gilding and its cushion cover in pink moire embroidered with edging and flowered branches, it takes up the carved decoration of the sofa with a beautiful resemblance, suggesting that it was designed for the seat. It is stamped on the back belt "M. Cresson" and bears a printed label written in ink: de Lancosme (Savary de Lancosme family). It is Louis-Charles-Alphonse Savary, Marquis de Lancosme (1776-1875), Pair of France in 1827, then Adolf-Louis-Charles-Alphonse, Count of Lancosme (1798-1837). In 1831 he married Henriette-Cecil Comtesse d'Andlau (1811-1888). H: 88.5 cm; W: 141 cm; D: 56 cm; H bottom of belt: 21 cm A few chips in the gilding. Very little wear and tear on the feet.
