Sympathetic hour and half striking clock signed 'Breguet breveté 60' (dial) and 'Breguet, Neveu et Cie N°60' (movement), sold in Alby on January 11, 1860 for 60 francs. White enamel dial (cracked), Arabic numerals, blued steel Breguet hands; round movement, half-repeating escapement, silk thread suspension, count wheel on the outside; patinated brass case in the form of a terminal topped by a greyhound. Missing the balance and the supports to wind the watch. H. 40cm; W. 12.4cm; D. 11.4cm. The patent mentioned on the dial is the one obtained by the company Breguet Cie for a period of fifteen years on October 7, 1833. Patent for a 'Clock that can reset a watch'. The device allowing to wind the watch at the same time was the subject of an addition to the patent on October 7, 1834. Originally, this clock was equipped with a simple gold watch.
