OPPENORD (Gilles-Marie). Livre de fragments d'architecture... A Paris, chez Huquier, [vers 1750]. In-8, contemporary speckled tan calf, smooth spine replaced, original fragments preserved, red edges, corners restored (slight sporadic soiling). Collection entirely engraved on copper, gathering 14 suites engraved by Gabriel Huquier (1695-1772) illustrating the birth of the rococo style, according to the drawings of the architect and decorator Oppenord (1672-1742), student of Hardouin-Mansart and who taught himself to Blondel. Each suite consists of 12 plates, including the title, printed on r° and v°. (Berlin Kat., 382; Millard, I, 125; Guilmard, I, p. 141, n° 2).
