KLEBER. Signed letter to General Sanson. One page in-4°, on headed paper printed with his name with vignette, at headquarters Giseh, 13 prairial an 8 (June 2, 1800). Kleber was commander-in-chief in Egypt after Bonaparte's departure (August 1799) and was was assassinated in Cairo on June 14, 1800 by a Syrian student.
