TREASURY of the CITY of PARIS. Gilded frame (54 x 42 cm) containing two documents and a decoration: - Handwritten certificate from the chief of the first of the first legion of the National Guard of the St Denis, Belleville battalion, attesting that that Pierre Dubiy, a native of Belleville, has served National Guard since July 13 1789, became adjutant and took part in guarding the the treasury of the town hall. (3 S.M. and 2 red wax red wax seals, from the municipality and the Belleville national guard). - On the recto and continuing on the verso, the Extrait of the Minutes of the National Assembly representatives of the Commune (printed 4 pages, 25 x 39 cm), session of Tuesday 11 May 1790. This document states that, wishing to honorably reward citizens who have given proof of such pure zeal and useful civic civic-mindedness, they will be given a tricolor ribbon ribbon embroidered with the words "CITY TREASURE saved and preserved, October 5, 1789" embroidered on it. to decorate their clothing. This is followed by a list of the names of the 150 citizens recipients of this decoration, including the name of Pierre Dubiy. (Beaussant March 2009). - One of 150 ribbons: tricolor silk ribbon tricolor silk ribbon (18 x 3.8 cm) embroidered in canetille "TREASURE / OF THE CITY / SAVED AND / CONSERVED / LE.5.8 bre / 1789". Provenance: former Marcel Schilder collection (1897-1960). While genuine ribbon decorations are already are already virtually impossible to find, this set is extremely rare.
