Microscope with two rectifying bodies and two observers signed 'Nachet et Fils à Paris', circa 1875. Lacquered and patinated brass. H. (closed) 28cm ; L. 23cm Circular base and plate, mirror on articulated arm, rack-and-pinion movement. According to Charles Robin 'The two lateral prisms placed in the path of the rays, having their edges perpendicular to the central prism, straighten the image by changing the direction of the rays, which are brought back to the same plane'.
