Conditions de vente
CONDITIONS OF SALE The last and highest bidder purchases the lot and must immediately supply his/her name and address. Purchasers pay a commission on the hammer price of 24% (auctioneer’s commission 20% + 20% VAT on the latter = 24%) Immediate payment is required for all purchases: in case of payment by cheque title in the property concerned passes only after the cheque has been credited. Descriptions of the external aspect of lots are intended only to provide an indication of condition. Lots are sold in the state they are in at the moment of adjudication. Purchasers can decide on the condition and value of lots during the periods of viewing before the sale. No complaint concerning the conditions of lots is accepted after adjudication. From this moment onwards the purchaser is responsible for the items purchased: Chayette & Cheval accept no responsibility for the storage of objects. Transport and storage costs are due on all items returned to the Etude Chayette & Cheval. EXPORTATION The export of some items may be subject to authorisation by the state. Obtaining the requisite documents is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. Administrative slowness, or refusal, to supply the appropriate export documents, justifies neither delaying payment for the lot, nor cancellation of the sale. If Chayette & Cheval are requested to deal with the export any costs incurred in so doing will be charged to the purchaser. Any transport requested is at the charge and responsibility of the purchaser following his written instructions. PAYMENT Payment in cash is limited to 3000€ for commercial purchasers coming from France, the European Union, or for foreigners resident in France. Payment in cash is limited to 15000€ for private customers not resident in France on presentation of two identity papers of which one shows the actual foreign residence. No lot will be released until after the sums due have been credited. In the case of payment by Swift, eurocheque or any other monetary instrument on which bank charges are payable, a standard charge of 25€ per invoice will be applied. OVV Chayette & Cheval is a member of the ‘Registre central de Prévention des Impayés des Commissaires Priseurs’. Problems incurred in the reception of payments may be there registered. Any legitimate contestation is to be made to SYMEV, 15, rue Freycinet, 75016 Paris.
