Gilded brass mantelpiece, the clock strikes at the hour and a half, the movement bearing the hallmark of Japy frères Cie circa 1870. White enamel dial, Roman numerals in blue for the hours, Arabic numerals in red for the minutes; round Paris movement hallmarked and numbered 4513, anchor escapement, spring suspension, single balance wheel with steel stem and 'Apollon' lens, striking on gong; gilded brass case with eclectic decor blending neo-Renaissance and neo-classical motifs, all set on red veined marble bases (a garland is missing from one of the cups). H. 48cm ; W. 21cm ; D. 14cm. Cups H. 27cm.
